WWE 2K24’s 40 Years of WrestleMania ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ mode has only 21 matches to enjoy. But will there be more?
WWE 2K24 broke the internet yesterday by revealing the standard, deluxe and cover arts for the upcoming game. Including, brand new matches, and a 200+ roster possibly making it the biggest in WWE gaming history. Plus, WWE has just announced today that from January 2025, WWE Raw and other of its content (i.e. WWE Network) will be streaming on Netflix. WWE are cooking right now and we’re ready for seconds. But what you can here for is a massive brand new feature for WWE 2K24.
As we’re approaching WrestleMania, what better way than to relive the same matches you enjoyed at WWE’s biggest event of the year by playing them yourself? The 40 Years of WrestleMania 2K Showcase mode, of course. This mode brings to you some of the greatest matches of all time in the showcase of the immortals. But do you know how many matches there’ll be available? Apparently, there’ll be 21 matches in WWE 2K24’s 40 Years of WrestleMania, and some fans are not happy about that.
You may be wondering why there’s such a small number of matches. WWE 2K14’s 30 Years of WrestleMania had near 50 matches you could enjoy. There are a few reasons for this, but the one that makes the most sense is because some of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history feature superstars that are no longer contracted to the WWE or are currently contracted to other professional wrestling companies. So, it’s understandable as to why there might not be so many. But not to fret, there are still plenty of great matches for them to bring in, right?

- Roman Reigns Vs Cody Rhodes
Undisputed Universal Championship – WrestleMania 39 – April 2, 2023
With more to be confirmed as the days goes by. But who knows? Maybe, there’ll be more than 21 matches included in the future.
