Microsoft Confirmed They Had Stopped Manufacturing Xbox One Consoles Since 2020
No, this is not a drill. Xbox One consoles had officially been discontinued in 2020. This was confirmed by Microsoft, as they had placed all of their focus on the manufacturing of the current-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and S. It does make sense, as it is almost impossible for gamers to get their hands on an Xbox Series X console. Unless they went through certain procedures to get one. They would need to put all of their energy into the current-gen consoles. However, it is far easier to get an Xbox Series S.
Cindy Walker had spoken to The Verge about this. She is the Senior Director of Xbox Console product marketing. She said, “To focus on the production of Xbox Series X/S, we had to end manufacturing for all Xbox One consoles by the end of 2020”. If you planned on getting the Xbox One S, unfortunately, you will not have much luck, because they have also discontinued that console.
As of now, there are no known retailers that have Xbox Series X in stock. However, Xbox Series S is currently in stock.
