Can you survive somewhere with no memory of how you arrived? Yomawari: Lost In The Dark forces one to answer this question
One of the biggest fears some people may have is waking up in a strange place. In Yomawari: Lost In The Dark, one must play to find out what memories are missing. And why this young girl has somehow found herself in a place she does not recognize in any way. The forest she woke up in is not familiar, but the eerily quiet town looks just like the one she lives in. From Nippon Ichi Software Inc. and NIS America Inc. comes a pulse-pounding story of curses and broken memories.
The child’s only aid is a small flashlight she happens to have. Only by following the sound of her heartbeat will she be able to piece together what happened. Find mementos that may give hints on how her curse can be lifted. But beware, malevolent spirits lurk in the shadows. Only by listening to her heartbeat can she hope to escape the things that chase her. The faster her heart beats, the closer they may be. Using the flashlight, the child may uncover things that aid her journey or entities that may end it prematurely.
The title will release on October 25, 2022, in North America for Nintendo Switch, Steam for PC, and PlayStation 4. Yomawari: Lost In The Dark will become available in Europe and Oceania for the Nintendo Switch, Steam for PC, and PlayStation 4 on October 28, 2022.
