Why is Yooka-Replaylee one of the most anticipated indie platformers right now?
Yooka-Replaylee has been certified as complete by Playtonic; therefore, development is mostly finished. Although the studio has yet to specify an exact release date, news on this front is coming soon.
Gamescom or the upcoming Nintendo Indie World Showcase could be venues for the major reveal, so fans could want to watch either event. Though Playtonic Friends launched its own publishing company, the creator still works alone, making it a good contender for indie-focused exhibitions.
Playtonic was one of the earliest developers to hint at their participation with Switch 2; therefore, a reveal at a Nintendo event would be entirely reasonable considering their background with Nintendo systems.
Although nothing is settled just yet, such a disclosure would be a thrilling occasion. This title is one many fans, including myself, are really anticipating. The gaming footage that has been made available so far is very in line with what players first desired from the Yooka series. It looks promising.
