Nintendo Japan releases new Zelda Autobuild blueprints for Tears of the Kingdom, but fans are questioning the high Zonai costs and limited sharing options.
In a quiet move, Nintendo Japan has released new Tears of the Kingdom Autobuild plans. They’re…interesting. Volumes 1 and 2 are already out and include everything from expensive hoverbikes to full-on monster-fighting carriages. They are part of a series that will keep coming out. There are QR codes on them, but they’re hard to find.
Volume 1 featured a sleek hoverbike design that could be downloaded using a QR code, but it required 21 Zonai Charges to function, which is more than twice the number of charges needed by the popular 9-charge model that many players prefer. You might not save money by making this choice, but it’s very stylish for people who care more about looks than money.
Volume 2, released on June 20, is even larger. It adds an Autobuild carriage that can be attached directly to Epona and is made to speed through enemy camps. Players who have tried it say it works surprisingly well in battle, but it costs an insane 42 Zonai Charges. Some fans are confused about why Nintendo would showcase designs that require so many resources, even though The Legend of Zelda games are impressive.
It’s not just the high cost of Zonai that makes people angry. Currently, Nintendo shares these builds through regional Zelda nodes and QR codes, which makes them difficult to find if you’re not part of the community. Luckily, some dedicated YouTubers and fans are doing the work and posting the codes online so that everyone can get them.

There will be more blueprints soon in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom; Volumes 3 through 6 are still planned for release. This trend could lead to a whole season of creative (and pricey) Autobuild updates in Tears of the Kingdom in the next few weeks.
Players will have to wait and see if Nintendo ever releases a build that is both creative and efficient. Or are we going to keep burning through Zonai like it’s nothing? The Autobuild scene in Tears of the Kingdom is getting hot either way, so you might want to start saving those charges.
