Splatoon 2’s Splatfest Returns For A Rematch

This is a major astonishment, as squid kids from everywhere throughout the world were informed that there would be no more Splatfests after July 2019. Ideally, this rematch can rouse another round of Splatfest rematches — or, in any event, bring a couple of topics over from the first Splatoon!

Sovereign of the World Pearl will buy and back the white stuff, while her satisfying buddy Marina is about the tomato sauce Residue off your Brellas, Sloshers, Dualies, and Rollers; it’s a great opportunity to come back to the rainbow-recolored front lines of Splatoon 2. This weekend, without precedent for quite a while, the Switch shooter’s locale will go head to head in a re-run of one of the most notable Splatfests: Mayo versus Ketchup.

Through the span of the end of the week, players will pick a side and fight it out for the sake of their preferred topping. The Splatfest three-point framework will manage the cost of a point each for Normal and Pro play modes, with the third point being chosen by open vote. In 2017, Mayo was pronounced the champ, having won both play focuses regardless of Ketchup taking a gigantic 73% of the open vote. Has the open’s taste changed lately? We’ll see.

The Mayo vs. Ketchup splat fest began yesterday, May 22, at 15:00 PT / 18:00 and will run until the same time on Sunday, May 24. Have fun and make the most of it, squid-kids!
