The enchanting-looking puppet-animated RPG Takeshi and Hiroshi is just one of the indie games released for the Nintendo Switch today.

It’s a quite decent day for Nintendo Switch proprietors searching for some new games to play. There were quite a few that have been made available today amid the Switch titles highlighted during this morning’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase, and this includes the charming-looking Takeshi and Hiroshi.

Due to it being an Apple Arcade exclusive since last year, This indie RPG from Oink Games has probably flown under most people’s radars. But presently that it’s on the Switch, many more players would now be able to encounter the game’s blend of RPG ongoing interaction and a story told through puppet-based stop-movement animation. Takeshi and Hiroshi place players in the job of Takeshi, a youthful hopeful game designer attempting to make a game for his younger sibling Hiroshi, who’s managing medical problems that can leave him hospitalized.

The main objective here is for players to balance Takeshi’s game, a 2D turn-based fantasy RPG, to provide Hiroshi with a fun, but not too difficult, challenge. This is finished by picking which beasts show up during battle, an errand that turns out to be all the more testing as the trouble steadily rises. Eventually, the ongoing interaction is in the administration of driving players through the siblings’ carries on, following Takeshi’s battles with a game plan and Hiroshi’s battles with his well-being.

It’s the kind of story that’s bound to tug on someone’s heartstrings, and the way it’s told makes for one of the more heartfelt games that can be played on the Switch starting today. Takeshi and Hiroshi are available for iOS, macOS, and Switch.
