Gearbox Software and 2K declared new content with next-gen plans for the Borderlands sequel. Gearbox confirmed that Borderlands is coming to both the PS5 and Xbox Series X during the organization’s PAX Online 2020 showcase. What’s more, if you own the game on current-gen consoles, you’ll get a free upgrade to the next-gen version, having the option to carry all saves and extra purchases.

The next-gen versions will run at 60 fps at 4K resolution on both next-gen versions. The appearance of these next-gen versions will bring two mentioned features. Those will be accessible to PS4 and Xbox One players using a free fix: A four-player split-screen, and the alternative to do vertical split-screen in two-player co-op.

Gearbox affirmed extra DLC coming not long from now. While the following paid DLC won’t be like the mission DLCs that have been important for the season pass, it will incorporate both another game mode and another expertise tree for each Vault Hunter, which implies new Action Skills.
