Cyberpunk 2077 players have been looking for The Witcher’s Ciri in the game from the very first moment, and some think they’ve currently detected a genuinely tricky reference to the character in one of the game’s endings.

As brought up, the endgame journey All Along the Watchtower starts with V awakening on top of the Badlands Dam and seeing a winged creature roost on the open vehicle window.

That flying creature looks and seems like a horse shelter swallow – in the realm of the Witcher, ‘Swallow’ is the Elvish-English interpretation of ‘Zireael’, from which Ciri’s name infers and is the name of the silver blade given to her by Geralt in The Witcher 3. That may appear to be an occurrence, yet Cyberpunk 2077 makes certain that there are no flying creatures in or around Night City. A shard (the game’s name for text logs) named “Avian Extermination Act” clarifies why:

In the face of increasingly frequent and deadly zoonotic disease outbreaks, the City Council has decided that the most effective method for reducing the risk of infection among residents is via the extermination of all avian life within 18 miles of city limits.

That shows up of a living fledgling in the game especially prominent, and one with such close relationship to Ciri feels like a purposeful decision to certain fans. There’s no sign yet from CD Projekt Red concerning whether that is really the situation – it’s particularly a fan hypothesis now.

With respect to why players have been explicitly searching for Ciri in Night City – that comes down to a bunch of lines she talks in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Ciri depicts a world she covered up in to get away from the nominal Hunt, saying: “Individuals there had metal in their minds, battled from a good ways, utilizing things like megascopes. Furthermore, there were no ponies, everybody had their own flying boats all things being equal.”

Many have interpreted that as meaning she showed up in Night City. Cyberpunk 2077 chief Adam Badowski recently said he was against getting the universes over, in spite of numerous in the group planning to remember Ciri for the game – it could well be that this reference was the trade off.

Regardless of whether it’s an absolute occurrence, Ciri shows up in the game – but as the cover star on a retro gaming magazine found in the Cyberpunk’s introduction for Corpo players.

Many have contemplated whether Ciri will be the lead in the Witcher game because of start improvement after Cyberpunk’s delivery. It likely could be some time before we discover, notwithstanding, as Cyberpunk itself obviously has far to go.

After the helpless condition of the game on consoles at dispatch, CD Projekt has focused on various updates to fix the game by February, after which it will get free DLC and paid extensions and, ultimately, a multiplayer mode. Considering you can’t accept the game carefully on PlayStation at the present time, it’s probably going to be a lengthy, difficult experience until we get even an opportunity of seeing CD projekt’s interpretation of Ciri in person once more.
