Another week, another round of free games.

We like Elite Dangerous a considerable amount.  And after six years it actually holds a spot on our rundown of Best PC Games as “an open-world (open-universe?) space flight sim that breathtakingly gives players an absolute opportunity.” And talking about opportunity, it is additionally now free for the week on the Epic Games Store.

The Elite Dangerous gift incorporates the Horizons extension, which was folded into the base game in October. It appeared in late 2015 and rolled out some huge improvements to the game, including planetary terrains and SRV ground vehicles, multi-individual group alternatives, transport dispatched contenders, and the arrival of the Thargoids, the secretive malignance from past the galactic edge! Or on the other hand any place it is they come from.

It’s a major one, yet it’s not by any means the only one: Also free this week is The World Next Door, “a blend of extremely quick riddle fights, amazing narrating, and vivid visual novel components” about a defiant adolescent caught in an equal world that is possessed by enchanted animals. It’s created by Portland-based studio Rose City Games and distributed by manga and anime wholesaler Viz Media. Elite Dangerous and The World Next Door are free on the Epic Games Store until November 26. From that point onward, the Russian rough terrain driving sim MudRunner will have its spot.

Also, if this isn’t sufficient free games for you, don’t stress, since we have more: Here’s an elite of the best free PC games of 2020, and a summary of the apparent multitude of free games you can snatch at present.
