The most recent Nintendo Direct Mini brings another unexpected announcement, as Supergiant’s hack-and-slash roguelike Hades is now available for the Switch.
Hades, an activity RPG from Bastion and Transistor studio Supergiant Games, is out now on Nintendo Switch. The studio had just confirmed it would arrive on Switch at some point this fall, and Nintendo announced an unexpected, shockingly early delivery date for it during the latest Nintendo Direct Mini.
This is something fanatics of supergiants have most recently stood by for just about two years. Since Hades was first released in early access on the Epic Games Store, the developer has gradually refined the game towards a full release. What’s more, presently that Version 1.0 is accessible for both PC and Switch, players will at long last have the option to see the story of Zagreus, child of Hades, and his endeavor to get away from the hidden world entirely to the end.
Beginning today, Hades will be accessible on the Nintendo eShop, Epic Games Store, and Steam for $25; however, to celebrate the launch, Supergiant is offering the game at a brief 20% rebate, bringing the price down to $20.
That probably won’t sound like a very remarkable markdown; however, it should still be welcomed by players interested in Hades’ action-packed gameplay and varied roguelike elements. Unfortunately, not all the news is good. While Hades was originally intended to include cross-save support at launch, Supergiant had to delay the cross-save feature due to setbacks during testing.
Luckily, it shouldn’t be much longer before it’s finally added to the game, as the developer said it should be able to introduce it in an update later this year. Hades is now available for PC and Switch.
