Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition has a release date. The upgraded version will arrive on May 6, 2021, on PC. The developer announced the release date today.

This Enhanced Edition will be available to its existing owners on Steam, Microsoft Store, GOG, and Epic Games Store. This will be a new release of the game. It won’t upgrade to its existing installs. This new version has its PC requirements, as a minimum, a ray-tracing capable GPU. Players won’t be able to turn off ray tracing.

If you began another section and gained some progress, it will reset you back to the beginning of that part. Past that, the Enhanced Edition will allow you to pick any part of the game to begin from. Doing this will begin another save with default gear and resources, and you will not have the option to procure achievements in that save space.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition was revealed in February. The full game, with all DLC, needs around 80GB of free space, or 72GB for the base game as it were.
