The Epic Games Store’s free games program has been running for over two years now. Each Thursday at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET, Epic proposes one, two, or at times three free games. All you have to do is make a free Epic account and enable two-factor validation to begin catching gifts. Now, Epic has parted with above and beyond 100 free games, and there’s no sign that the program will stop any time soon.
This week’s free game is Galactic Civilizations III, a great 4X turn-based strategy game by Stardock Entertainment. It is the sequel to 2006’s Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords. The full version of the game was released in May 2015. The game’s first expansion, titled Mercenaries, was released in February 2016.
