Today the three biggest names in the world of consoles – Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox – have announced a type of partnership that aims to make and keep video games open and safe for everyone under the heading “Our shared Commitment to Safer Gaming”.
Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo have teamed up to monitor the safety of their players in our connected and community-centered world. Announced on Xbox Wire, Xbox Operations vice-chairman Dave McCarthy discussed how he and the team believe that ‘playing is something for everyone of all ages, including our youngest and most vulnerable players.’ However, protecting players online is not an easy task and ‘requires a variety of approaches’ that is only enhanced when you work alongside Nintendo and PlayStation preferences.
McCarthy also discussed the principles that guide their work in the secure future of gamers around the world, and that it stands as follows;
