It’s been a rocky road for Square Enix and People Can Fly, but cross-play in Outriders is finally working as intended across all platforms.

Even though People Can Fly pushed out the game’s most recent update on Friday (April 9), the game actually hasn’t exactly been getting it done throughout the end of the week. PC, PS4, and PS5 players have had the option to play with one another throughout the previous few days, yet starting today (April 12), the Xbox players are working appropriately, as well, and cross-play is now fully operational.

“We’re a little bit delayed on the Xbox version of this patch, but the Xbox team is being incredibly supportive in helping us get it ready as soon as we can,” the official Outriders account noted last week. “[…] Crossplay between Consoles and PC will be fully restored once the Xbox patch has gone live,” the Twitter thread concluded. That 600MB fix is presently live on Xbox consoles, and cross-play is operational.

On the off chance that you’ve been influenced by the game’s not exactly ideal launch, at any rate, you get something back for your troubles: all players who played between March 31 and April 11 are qualified for the appreciation bundle. Players who endured a stock wipe can likewise get the pack, as well.

“We are continuing to monitor performance and feedback,” Outriders goes on to say on its Twitter account. “Following this update, we will be providing news on further steps as soon as we can.” As of late, PC players have noticed that the game can make a tremendous accident document dump (that can reach up to 22GB in size!) whenever left unchecked on their system. The entirety of the above issues are bothering, certain, yet in the event that you can disregard them and get the game working, Outriders can be a truly fun game.
