Even though eFootball PES 2021 Season Update will just be a program update to the current PES 2020 game, Konami has figured out how to score a portion of soccer’s greatest names to be included as cover stars.
This year, the legends of FC Barcelona’s (as of this season of composing) Lionel Messi and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo will show up close by the rising stars of Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
Both Messi and Ronaldo have shown up on the cover of PES and its opponent FIFA in different years, yet this year points the first time when that the two stars have shown up together on a video game cover. Like a year ago, the four cover stars represent the game’s partner clubs with Ronaldo, Davies, and Rashford supplanting Miralem Pjanić, Serge Gnabry, and Scott McTominay respectively.
While FIFA 21 is promoting new features, for example, Career Mode improvements, PES 2021 will simply be a roster update without any plans to reveal on PS5 or Xbox Series X. Konami referred to the need to get ready for the arrival of next-gen consoles.
