PUBG’s free-to-play experiment on PC is over.

PUBG Lite, which was launched in 2019 as a low-spec, allowed to-play adaptation of the fight royale game, is closing down soon. PUBG Corp. pulled download joins on Tuesday; however, players who as of now can keep on playing it and spend in-game credits until April 29.

All PUBG Lite player backing will end one month later, on May 29. In the declaration, PUBG Corp. didn’t say why it’s murdering the game, simply that the choice was made “after much thought.” “We would like to convey our sincerest apology as well as our deepest appreciation to everyone. We truly hope you have enjoyed your time with us, and please look forward to our future endeavors,” the developer said.

PUBG Lite at first released in Southeast Asia and later expanded to Europe. The studio is currently working away at two games set in the PUBG universe, one of which was as of late revealed to be PUBG: New State – a spin-off of PUBG Mobile set soon.

It’s expected that a continuation of the PUBG principle on PC and consoles is the group’s other significant undertaking.
