Prior today, Riot revealed the Valorant 1.11 fix that makes some parity changes and changes, tunes the in-game economy, and adds a left-gave weapon model, and this is the large one that gets a new character Skye, the Australian woods watchman with the mysterious petting zoo. A couple of hours after the fact, however, Riot said that it’s transformed into a “specialized bad dream,” thus the fix is being moved back and will be redeployed one week from now.

Interestingly, given the remarks on Twitter and in this Reddit string, no one is 100% sure why the update was moved back. There give off an impression of being a few issues close by, including one that was keeping players from AFK partners from getting reward cash.

We'll redeploy later in the week once we can figure out a less disruptive time for the VALORANT First Strike Qualifiers (and have a solution, obviously). If you started the Skye character contract, you won't be able to progress until we patch again. [2/2]

Redditor Solace1k estimated that the issue could be the combined impact of the issues on the First Strike competition, the main authority Riot-delivered Valorant competition, which started qualifiers yesterday. “Each minor thing that influences them could be a misfortune at that level,” they stated, which is an admirable sentiment.

It additionally fits with Riot’s tweet about finding a “less problematic time,” even though that makes me can’t help thinking about why Riot would drop a major update just after the beginning of a feature competition in any case. It’s normal for FPS engineers to secure the trustworthiness of the serious network when revealing another parity change or substance update.

Mob affirmed that hypothesis in a message proclamation. “The insecurity of this fix was especially deplorable because it affected serious respectability, so we’re moving it back until we can fix it,” a representative said. The update ought to be moved back when you see this, and life in Valorant will have gotten back to its past typical state.
