Valorant Causes PC To Set On Fire

Riot Games have actualized their anti-cheat software similar to what they use for League of Legends, however with a twist. It’s still turned on in any event when the game isn’t running. Fortunately, they made it possible to disable the anti-cheat software when they’re not playing the game any longer. Regardless of it being disabled, the software seems to cause another issue for the users.

PC gamers have whined that it’s causing their units to overheat, and it may be Valorant’s issue. Some players have revealed that the anti-cheat software called Vanguard is meddling with software as well as drivers tied inside the PC equipment like cooling systems, GPUs, keyboards, and mice. One player even related his struggle in a Reddit string with more than 20,000 upvotes. From the string, he described it as a hellish encounter saying: “I just spent the last 3 hours making sense of why I was unable to get into Windows because my console and mouse wouldn’t work.”

He also included, “Just before that, I started smelling hot plastic, my graphics card was running +90°C because once more, Vanguard disabled my cooling software. Vanguard needs to keep us from propelling the game while X software is dynamic and it needs to close, regardless of whether we have to reboot just after instead of disabling everything silently.”

Valorant, Vanguard

That wasn’t all; different users also recounted to their own stories with similar results including numerous PC components. Jonah Wallschlaeger said that his Vanguard has also been unleashing devastation on the software he uses, which controls his PC’s outer lighting. He said, “I was unable to get my RGB software to work until I visited up support on Monday,” and included, “The person just said, ‘uninstall Valorant’ without asking on the off chance that I had it.”

Riot’s anti-cheat lead, Paul Chamberlain gave a brief, yet nonspecific response to the players’ anxiety. From his clarification, he had this to say, “We’re chipping away at ways to improve the experience. Our present warning pop-ups aren’t as acceptable as they could be, and we’re searching for ways to give you more command over how Vanguard works.” He also felt free to say that the players should expect genuinely necessary improvements “before dispatch.” The game Valorant has no official release date as of yet and remains a closed beta where just a set number of individuals get the opportunity to give it a shot.

In the event that you thought the game was still a work in progress, even its anti-cheat system Vanguard is also still experiencing unpleasant patches and maintenance. Despite many individuals previously worried about the excessively invasive anti-cheat system, it still appears to push through despite the concerns.
