Valorant Will Award 6 New Agents Each Year

Valorant’s been out for a couple of weeks at this point, however, Riot isn’t wasting whenever in looking toward what’s to come. On Monday, the engineer released a video update with official maker Anna Donlon telling fans what’s not too far off for the strategic shooter.

While Donlon offered a lot of updates on the game, the biggest news was about Riot’s drawn-out plans for releasing new Agents and maps. As indicated by Donlon, the current arrangement is to release another Agent with each Act. Valorant’s Acts are somewhat similar to seasons in different games and will last around two months each. This means there should be six new Agents added to Valorant consistently.

Valorant’s schedule will also be separated into Episodes. Every Episode will last around six months, which makes sense considering that there are three Acts for each Episode. Episodes will allow Riot to roll out bigger improvements to Valorant, as per Donlon, including the option of new mechanics or extra maps.

While Episodes are the place where the largest changes to the game are probably going to come in, Donlon notes this doesn’t mean there won’t be significant iterations and changes during Acts, just that they’ll likely be less basic than the huge changes that will always accompany new Episodes.

In Valorant’s increasingly short term, Donlon lets fans realize that there are a couple of personal satisfaction changes in transit in the following barely any patches. These changes will incorporate things like early surrenders, in case a group feels like a triumph is far off, the capacity to revamp games, in case something goes wrong like a player disconnecting for a couple of rounds, and even timeouts.

As usual with any game updates, especially with the entirety of Valorant’s devs telecommuting, these timelines aren’t set in stone. Donlon mentions that if fans think content is coming excessively fast or too slowly, Riot is available to adjust the pace.

As one last Easter egg, Riot even incorporated a teaser of the new Agent that will be coming in Act 2. Until further notice, all we have is a silhouette, yet on the off chance that the Riot stays on schedule, we should hope to hear somewhat more about this Agent soon since they should be set for release sometime in August.
