On June 11, Sony Interactive Entertainment hosted an event where it unveiled the PlayStation 5 and showcased the games that would be released on the console. With the COVID-19 canceling events, the reveals shifted online. Electronic Arts revealed their upcoming releases and disclosed details on new products through their live stream event on Thursday. The event was about the digital version of their live show in Los Angeles, which was held before the current E3.

Laura Miele, EA’s Chief Studios Officer, gave a short demonstration and insight into how the future of EA titles will look and feel on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The presentation also featured hugely improved titles, such as Need For Speed and the evolution of graphics in Battlefield. Though BioWare was not explicitly stated, some of the game’s footage was shown.

Miele also mentioned that BioWare creates and imagines worlds where we become the heroes of our own stories. They also said that they are using next-gen technology to make this fantasy world a reality. The preview also gave its viewers a glimpse of the upcoming fantasy world of Dragon Age 4. For a whole new experience, they are creating epic battles on a scale and with fidelity.

A short snippet was presented to show Battlefield’s changes over the past few years. They also showed a teaser about the next-gen, featuring thorough and detailed facial animations, as well as large-scale battles. The next Battlefield Game got the tease, though it was hard to find out what the situation was like from the images.

Footage showed a character flying around a city with arms that allow materials to be moved independently. I emphasize the physics engine that is possible only because of next-gen tech. This footage is about a new untitled game from EA Motive, which was highlighted and described as innovative and highly ambitious. The EA Play Live event also played host to a wide range of other games, such as Star Wars: Squadrons and Skate.
