However, you will not receive a free upgrade from the original game.

There will be some much-longed additions and a new island to explore as Sucker Punch Productions has released all of the patches so far, including the original game. After being released on PlayStation 4 more than a year ago, Samurai Adventure Ghost of Tsushima’s director’s cut will be released on PS4 and PS5. There will be new animals to pet, enemies, armor, mini-games, and fresh abilities.

Players will introduce themselves to new characters and experience a new story. According to a PlayStation blog Post, Jin will face challenges associated with “deeply personal stakes.”

He’ll have to deal with some painful memories from his past. He will wander around Iki Island with neighbors in Tsushima to search for the truth of some rumors that the Mongols are there. New players can unlock Iki when they reach the Toyotama region in Act 2 of Ghost of Tsushima.

The DualSense controller will offer adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, as well as faster load times, 3D audio, resolutions up to 4K, and a goal framerate of 60 frames per second. The developers were able to incorporate the Cutscenes feature by taking advantage of the PS5’s real-time rendering capabilities for cinematics.

It supports lip sync for Japanese voiceovers. The PS5 version will bring a few exclusive features, including an updated mode. Also, photo mode updates, more controller remapping, a way to hide the quiver during combat, and a target lock-on option are on their way. New gamers can upgrade to the PS4 Director’s Cut for $20 and an extra $10 for the PS5 version.

You can also spend $30 to upgrade directly from the original game to the PS5 Director’s Cut. But you can’t get either of them for free on either console. You spend $60 and $70 to buy the director’s cut on PS4 and PS5 if you are a newbie.

Place a pre-order from the PlayStation store if you want to play the physical editions right away. The current game costs $60, but you can download and play the original PS4 game right now if you pre-order the upcoming edition for the same price.

After the Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima debuts in August, you’ll be able to transfer your progress.
