Sony has unveiled an update to the PS5 system designed to improve system performance in the second straight week, but it is still unclear what the patch changes exactly. The update weighs about 820MB and Sony has released it to improve performance on the PS5. Users have reported that they have experienced several problems since the release of the PS5, including the crash of various games, which in some cases reportedly happened when the console was put into rest mode. As explained in Reddit and Rasetera, the problem leads to PS5 discs spinning at various times, most often loudly. Some users claim that it happens every hour, while others claim that they own it every 15 to 20 minutes. It is not yet clear if Wednesday’s updates fix any of those issues.
Last week Sony offered a solution to PS5’s queue bug that does not require users to reuse their consoles. It will be that we now see a new fix for the various PS5 issues reported in recent weeks, although there is no confirmation at the time of writing.
