Power on your PlayStation Portal, unlock it with the PS button, then install the latest system software update to enable streaming.
The PlayStation Portal was originally developed as a remote play device, where a PS5 would have to stream games. It has gained new functionality in recent software updates, however, and users can now stream games directly from their PlayStation Plus subscription without needing to own a PS5.
Update Your PlayStation Portal
You can start your PlayStation Portal and press the PS button to unlock it. Make sure you download the most recent system software update. Once it is done updating, you can go ahead and turn the Portal back on.
Accessing the Game Catalog
If you have already linked it to a PS5, it will prompt you to link to your PS5 once it is powered on. Rather, we'll be going to the game catalog and streaming from that instead. This is a feature to use PlayStation Portal without a PS5.

PlayStation Plus Premium Requirement
You must have PlayStation Plus Premium to stream games, and as part of this beta, to be a part of it. That's how you can play games from the game catalog. Then you can click on "X" to continue.
Browsing and Streaming Games
Then it displays the game catalog, allowing you to play all the games in the PlayStation Plus game catalog. However, not every game from the catalog will be available for PlayStation 5 to stream, with only select games being configured and enabled for streaming on the PlayStation Portal.
Start Playing
Click on one of these games, then click Stream and it will instantly drop into the game. That's all there is to it.
