Elden Ring: Where to Find the Meteorite Staff, The Best Early Game Staff

Elden Ring’s fantastic weapons all scale from certain attributes to certain degrees. The Meteorite staff is an S scaling staff that you can acquire very early game.

Elden Ring has many staves littered about it’s landscape. Whether that is the Demi-Human Queen’s staff, the Carian Glintstone staff, or the Meteorite Staff, FromSoftware has provided players with many options, and magic has proven itself to be a great weapon across the Lands Between.

To get this spectacular weapon, players must venture into the depths of the scarlet rot-infested wilds of Caelid, one of the most difficult and uncomfortable areas to navigate in Elden Ring.

Players will want to head to the Street of Sages Ruins here on the map. For players later in the game, this is no doubt an easier ask, and if you have any of those nearby lost grace sites seen above, simply travel from there.

For those wishing to get this staff early game, there is a solution that cuts off pretty much all of the effort of attempting to barge your way through the swamps.

Players who have explored Limgrave a decent amount will recognise the Dragonburnt ruins. They are found on the western edge of the Agheel lake, far away from the aggro range of the Dragon that also stalks the lake. For players wishing for speedy access to the heart of Caelid, this is where to go.

As you ride torrent slowly parkouring down the cliffs, you will eventually come to the ruins, now the enemies here aren’t too difficult, even early game, but still be mindful of the dogs as they are relentless with their attacks. There is a small tunnel in the ground within the ruins, surrounded by torchlight. Enter, and you will descend through this tunnel.

There will be around 4 – 6 large rats living down in the squalor; you can kill them, or not, it is up to you. I would consider, however, that these rats are deceptively quick. There is a door on the other side of the room, open that and you will see a chest.

As you open the chest, you will be surrounded by a milky grey mist. This mist is going to take you across the map to Sellia Crystal Tunnel.

This will be the most complex area of the run, particularly for early game players. From this room, make a sharp left and descend the small ‘cliff’ where the diggers are. You will most likely take damage from a few of the enemies that have targeting ranged attacks. Rolling can help, but not always. You will see a small tunnel before you, go through there and follow it, which will take you to a wooden platform.

From the platform, you will see the lost grace site, touch it, and you can now continue with the run.

From the crystal tunnel, players will head a somewhat construed south, south-southwestern direction. Heading towards the Street of Sages ruins that you saw on the map at the start.

Players will find themselves in the Scarlet Rot Lake, and so should be cautious when dismounting the horse. Scarlett rot melts health away, so you do not want to be caught in those swamps.

Once players have arrived at the Street of Sages ruins, look for the ruin that is more towards the cliffs, a short set of stairs, and a decently sized tower beside it.

Head up the set of stairs and turn to the right, and there is a small tower filled with poison plants. Kill these plants or there’s going to be a problem, the room is so small, your health will drain. Once the plants are dead, you can take the Meteorite staff off the body at the back of the tower.

There it is, one of the best early-game staffs found in Elden Ring.
