Here's a quick guide on how to manage your health, hunger and stamina in Last Breath.
In Last Breath, surviving is more than just avoiding enemies. Your health, hunger and stamina are always influencing how well you can survive and if you ignore one of them, you can quickly find yourself in a bad situation. Keeping these three things in check will make exploration, combat and gathering much easier.
Control Your Hunger
Always keep an eye out for hunger. Exploring is a lot of fun but it’s easy to get distracted and find yourself running low on supplies. Try to keep a small reserve on your inventory and collect food whenever you can.
Don’t wait until you have no food before you start looking for more. Having a few meals put away can make a big difference if you end up stranded somewhere dangerous or have to spend more time away from your shelter than you planned.

Control Your Stamina
Stamina is the amount of activity you can do before you need to recover. Running around all the time can tire you out at the wrong time, especially when you have to run away from an enemy.
Don’t drain your stamina entirely while exploring. Leave some energy to sprint away, or to react to something unexpected. If there is no immediate danger slow down and allow your stamina to return.
Take Care Of Your Health
Your health is your most important resource because once it is gone, your run is over. Don’t start fights you don’t need to, especially if you’re already low on health or under-equipped.
Be aware of your surroundings, don’t assume every meeting has to be a fight. If you get hurt, take some time to recover before going back into the danger. Better to slow down than to throw it all away on one careless encounter.

Balance All Three
How safely you can play depends on your health, hunger and stamina. And if the time comes to escape, and you have no stamina left, being well fed does not help you much. And if your health is already dangerously low, having plenty of stamina will not save you.
Concluding Remarks
Check all three before you leave your shelter. Ensure you have enough to eat, reasonable health and enough energy for the journey ahead. One of them is already in bad shape, take care of it before you go.
As you get more comfortable with Last Breath, you will start to feel more natural addressing these needs. The point is to be ready, not to wait until something is an emergency.
