The Metaverse is a virtual world where people interact with one another as they do in the real world.

Metaverse games are becoming more popular. The virtual games use blockchain technology, and players are rewarded for their time and effort. Gaming has always been a diverse industry, but with this new reality, players can play and earn, which fundamentally changes its potential.

We have compiled the best Metaverse games for you to make money while playing in 2022.

The Sandbox

The Sandbox was developed as an Ethereum-based open game. The most valuable asset in the game is the LAND. Each LAND is an NFT that represents ownership of virtual land. Players can design unique locations for themselves and rent LAND to others.

The Sandbox game also allows players to create unique assets they can sell. The assets can be sold to earn SAND tokens. The sand tokens are used in the metaverse for mortgages, governance, or value transfer.

The Sandbox is compatible with Android, PC, iPad, and Mac.

Axie Infinity

Axie Infinity is among the most popular metaverse games, with about 2.8 million users and assets worth $3.6 billion being traded. Axie Infinity is a battle game in which you can breed, get, and battle against other players.

As a player, you can earn Axie’s native token after playing. Alternatively, you can build your land and start your kingdom.

Decentraland is a virtual reality game built on the Ethereum blockchain where players earn NFTs by playing. Land is sold as NFTs, and many companies are opening their stores in Decentraland.

Decentraland

As a player, you can make money by purchasing MANA tokens and hoping for an increase in price or by buying LAND, which represents NFT plots; then, if the cost of the plots goes up, you sell to make a profit.

Alternatively, you can earn by owning a LAND in a casino. As the owner of a casino NFT, you will earn a commission on the money made. Also, when hosting at a casino, you interact with clients. The casino clients are real individuals in Decentraland, represented as avatars. You can earn revenue through advertising, event planning, and charging for services. To get started, you need to purchase MANA coins.

Sorare

Sorare uses a different gameplay model to earn in-game rewards. It focuses on fantasy football. The player can purchase, collect, and trade digital cards and NFTs. You earn ETH tokens to sell cards or become a winner in the bi-weekly tournaments. The ETH tokens earned depend on the points earned from cards.

Sorare is already being used by 200+ football teams and is supported by global investors. To start on Sorare, you must create a team with a goalie, an attacker, a defender, a midfielder, and an extra player.

Star Atlas

Star Atlas is another top play-to-earn metaverse game built on blockchain technology. In the game, three main groups are developed and fighting for resources: sentient robots, extraterrestrial species, and humans. The game uses deflationary mechanics: resources used to produce items are destroyed when new items are created.

For example, if a player loses a combat to another player, the spacecraft NFT is permanently removed. Star Atlas becomes difficult when you leave the NPC-populated settlements for the unknown.

All metaverse games will require initial deposits. Therefore, invest in a game you understand and enjoy playing for good returns.
