343 Industries, The Developer Behind Halo Infinite Could Be Working On New Halo Project

343 Industries may be working on a new Halo project, thanks to leaked online employee information.

The Studio behind Halo Infinite, 343 Industries, may be working on a new project that has yet to be revealed publicly. The video game developer, which is both a subsidiary of Xbox Game Studios and Microsoft, has come a long way since its humble beginnings working on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary back in 2011. It’s exciting to see what else the studio has in store for gamers.

Despite its relatively positive reception when it first launched in 2021, the most recent entry in the Halo franchise, Halo: Infinite, has seen a significant decline in players, with the game losing around 98% of its players on Steam. Due to this, many players are concerned about where the next entry will take the franchise. Luckily, it appears that 343 Industries has something interesting in the works, and we can hopefully learn more about this upcoming project shortly.

The first glimpse we got of this project came from an employee’s LinkedIn page, which says that currently, 343 Industries is working on “an unannounced internal project”. This curious bit of information was first spotted by Twitter user Timur222, and the profile in question belongs to Ben F, who was a former project manager at 343 Industries.

New Halo project 2

His profile goes into detail about some of the work he has done for the company, such as roadmap development for an internal project. This project could be connected to the rumors that a new Halo game is in the works, and it would make sense considering the developer’s experience.

However, as exciting as the news that we could be getting a new Halo game, it is worth noting that many players have argued that, due to the current state of Halo: Infinite, the franchise may be in need of a reset.

Could this project be the reset in question? We will have to wait and see. Considering the employee left sometime in January 2023, it is likely that this internal project is still in its early stages of development. Either way, it’s good to hear that things aren’t quite finished for the Halo franchise.
