Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon, FromSoftware’s Next Eye-catching Title, Has Been Announced

Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon will be FromSoftwares next title after the domineering success of Elden Ring.

The game awards had dozens upon dozens of announcements, including Death Stranding 2 But the final world premiere was a huge shock. Prior to Elden Ring’s game of the year-winning moment, Geoff Keighley, at an almost emotional level, was ecstatic that FromSoftware would be announcing their next project at the Game Awards.

While many were probably hopeful for something like Bloodborne 2 or something to that effect, instead, we were graced with a surprising trailer as Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon was announced. See the full trailer below:

The trailer shows off the bombastic nature of the mecha series with a soft synth in the background. This will be the first Armored Core title to be released since Armored Core V in 2012. Even more surprising is that despite this being the first that we have heard of this game, FromSoftware has happily stated that this game is coming in 2023.

It is always better when companies time their announcement close to their releases, and whilst the game still could be delayed in the future, it can be suspected that many fans will be awaiting this game’s arrival with bated breath. For those who are unfamiliar with Armored Core, it is one of the first and most popular series under the FromSoftware umbrella,a and the first game was released back in 1997.

The mecha franchise has been a mainstay of the company for a very long time, and though it has taken a backseat in recent years due to other titles like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring, Armored Core is finally set to make its triumphant return.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is coming in 2023 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4/5, and Steam.
