We might actually be back as Battlefield 6’s multiplayer reveal dropped some more bombshells.
Battlefield 6’s multiplayer reveal has given us so much detail of what to expect that it’ll get your mouth watery. But let’s look at some of the biggest changes. EA has confirmed that Battlefield 6 is set two years from now, in the year 2027. At launch, you’ll be getting a total of nine maps worldwide. You get to fight in the likes of Gibraltar, Egypt, Tajikistan, Brooklyn, New York, plus the inclusion of the remake of the iconic ‘Operations Firestorm’ from 2011’s Battlefield 3.
Rush, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Conquest, and so on will be in multiplayer, and of course, there’ll be a new game mode called Escalation, where “teams are pushed to final climatic battle”. Portal has also returned to the franchise, where you can “build, share and play your custom-created experiences.”
Battlefield 6’s multiplayer seems to have much better and smoother movement than ever before, with many more animations to give you he most realistic warfare experience ever in the franchise, which is something for all of us to look forward to, including much more fluid gun play animations and mechanics.
And for those who love using vehicles, you’ll love to know that the vehicles have become more “responsive and intuitive” as they’ve become much easier to control with much simpler control options. Battlefield 6 will have the return of the classical four-class systems: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. All of which have their unique weapons and specialties.
This has been on the wishlist of the Battlefield community for years, and it’s great that they’ve returned. It gets even better, Battlefield 6 allows you to cause much more destruction than ever, and you now have many more different ways to cause damage and chaos on the battlefield. Moreover, you’ll see much more refined and smoother destruction animations, just like in real life.

The craziest part about all of this, and for you to also keep in mind, is that these were confirmed not to be the final version of the gameplay, but they look very promising already. More so, there will be much more maps, modes, events, and so on in their post-launch content. Remember, guys, no pre-order.
No, but seriously, if you wish to pre-order, you can do so right now on your respective stores, as it’s confirmed that October 10, 2025, Battlefield 6 releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. To top things off, you can play the beta next week.
That’s right, August 7-10 for Early Access and Weekend 1. And from 14-17 August for Weekend 2. And you don’t have to pre-order to get access to the beta. It’s totally free. Could this be the FPS shooter that can compete with Call of Duty?
