Bolder Games’ Sci-Fi 3D Platformer Launches.
Independent developer Bolder Games has officially launched Virballs, a fast-paced sci-fi 3D platformer inspired by classics like Ratchet & Clank, Kirby, and A Hat in Time. Available now on PC, Virballs invites players to take on the role of ORB, an Object Removal Bot tasked with stopping a galactic disaster caused by an invasive viral menace.
With a mix of high-speed platforming, creative combat, and elemental powers, players must battle their way across six unique planets to save the local Floober populations before the ecosystem collapses.
In Virballs, the notorious Dr. Corvid has unleashed his latest experiment, spreading chaos across multiple worlds. The titular Virballs—strange creatures that share traits with viruses—have begun consuming each other, mutating into powerful hybrids.
ORB, equipped with rocket-propelled grappler claws, mobility thrusters, and a containment sphere, must harness the elemental abilities of the Virballs to turn the tide and put an end to Dr. Corvid’s destructive plans.
A Galactic Adventure Packed with Action and Strategy awaits players will explore six diverse planets, each presenting new threats and requiring creative use of Virball powers. ORB can collect Virballs and use their elemental properties—Earth, Water, Electricity, Air, Fire, and even Slime—to create a wide variety of devastating blaster ammunition.
As players progress, they will face massive boss battles against powerful Virball hybrids, unlocking new elemental Cores to expand ORB’s arsenal further. Beyond combat, ORB’s mission includes rescuing the adorable Floobers, the peaceful inhabitants of these planets who are caught in the chaos. By evacuating them to safety, players will not only save an entire species but also gain valuable upgrades to aid them in their quest.
