Following the next major expansion, Crusader Kings 3’s event pack will be Wards and Wardens as voted in by the community.
It has been eventful over at Paradox Interactive as they continue to tantalise us with what is coming next for Crusader Kings 3. The next major expansion pack coming this year is still a mystery to us, but at least we know what follows. After a week-long vote, it has been confirmed that Wards and Wardens, an event pack based on raising children or playing as a child in-game, has officially won the polls.
There were 3 event packs to choose from, and they were Villains and Vagabonds, Love and Lust, and of course, the winner, Wards and Wardens. Each of them was interesting in their own way, as was covered in the lead-up to the results.
Shockingly, Love and Lust placed last in the voting with just 2,645 votes compared to Villains and Vagabonds, 3,25,5, and Wards and Wardens,4,193. In addition to this, in the summary, Paradox Interactive once again teased the next expansion pack that promises to be a step into a brand new frontier, with Paradox already having stated that they won’t be doing: “Trade, Imperial/Byzantine, and Nomads this time.”
It’s curious where Crusader Kings 3 will go. Both Royal Court and Fate of Iberia were excellent DLCs that contained a great deal of high-quality content. It’s expected that the following expansion will fall into a similar category… Hopefully. Regardless, the excitement for this game is palpable, and this is merely the first step in what promises to be a long journey for Crusader Kings 3.
