Donkey Kong Bananza left a lot of clues that the next game in the series would have multiplayer.
Donkey Kong Bananza will arrive on the upcoming Switch 2, which will include 1080p at 60 frames per second with a high dynamic range in portable mode. The first 3D platformer in the series in almost 25 years will follow the protagonist as he tries to recover banana-shaped jewels that the villains have stolen in an open environment.
In the highly anticipated adventure, which features destructible surroundings, players may expect to smash enemies, solve puzzles, complete missions, and find more collectibles. Since evidence of a desired function has surfaced online, many are wondering if other features will be added to the game.
Someone who plays Donkey Kong Bananza a lot on the Nintendo Switch supposedly found evidence that the next game in the series would have multiplayer. On July 17, the new system will be able to play Donkey Kong Bananza, the first major installment in the series since 2014’s Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Wii U.
Nintendo Life and Famiboards user Triistan has reported that Nintendo’s official website now lists Donkey Kong Bananza under the ‘Local Multiplayer Games’ category, along with Mario Kart World and a plethora of other games.
Despite the possibility that it was a Nintendo mistake, the official listing for the next open-world Donkey Kong adventure cites the player count as “TBD,” which adds fuel to the fire of speculation.

Many believe that, similar to the Mario Kart World Direct in April, a separate Direct livestream will be held prior to the release of Donkey Kong Bananza to confirm the inclusion of a multiplayer component in the next game.
Since a recent teaser for Donkey Kong Bananza hinted at the return of fan-favorite character Rambi the Rhino, fans have been finding hidden clues in the game’s promotional video as to who else might make an appearance in the action-adventure comedy. Fans of Pauline and Cranky Kong are wondering. Additionally, there will be side-scrolling sections in certain areas, which will bring back a flood of memories from Donkey Kong Country.
Despite initial controversy about the console’s price, Nintendo has stuck to its initially announced price of $449.99 for the Nintendo Switch 2, which is set to release on June 5. Donkey Kong Bananza will cost $69.99, whereas Mario Kart World will cost an unbelievable $79.99, which has many gamers worried about possible industry-wide price hikes.
