It has been many years since we last saw Arrakis, but Dune Spice Wars is soon to change that.
The last time gamers saw a Dune-inspired game was back in 2001 with Emperor: Battle for Dune. Thanks to dedicated fans and a great director, a remake of the classic film was recently released. Following that recent occurrence comes a new game set in the Dune universe. Developed by Shiro Games and published by Funcom, it is the new 4x game known as Dune Spice Wars.
Return to Arrakis to fight for your respective faction once again. Play as either House Harkonnen, House Atreides, The Smugglers, or The Fremen. Once you’ve decided who to represent, it’s then time to determine how best to come out on top: fraud, political influence, economic supremacy, or open warfare. No matter what option you choose, it will be impossible to appease everyone. So, who will you choose as allies? Who will you settle for having as an enemy?
Discover what lies on the surface of the desert planet using ornithopters. Uncover necessary resources and use your forces to expand to points of interest.
Dune Spice Wars will be released in Early Access on April 26th, 2022. I wish to list it on Steam to ensure you’re notified the moment it’s available.
