There’s no need to go to another dimension when Hell Is Others.

Century City is no ordinary place. For anything to live in this dark place, blood is required as sustenance. In Hell Is Other, from Strelka Games, Adam Smithson cares for nothing but his little bonsai tree. And since it needs blood, like everyone and every little thing, Smithson must descend into the city’s desolate depths. With others looking to achieve the same goal, success is in no way a certainty.

At its core, the title is meant to be multiplayer. Many others will be seeking blood to feed their bonsai tree continually. So around every corner, there might be another enemy. There’s no need to give up when one has been seen. It will be possible to fight them off with weapons one might come across.

For those not looking for the headache of other live players, Hell Is Other also offers a PVE mode. Experience the darkness within Century City on your own. And see how you are against the evils that lie within. Regardless of the adventure you choose, each trek down must be limited. Get back to the higher points too late all your loot might simply disappear.

There’s no need to worry about scavenging the city for ammo either. Adam Smithson can grow the ammo he needs for his various firearms. While multiples can be grown at once, it’s best to focus on the ammo that goes to one’s most-used weapons.

Additionally, Hell Is Others offers Adam a few perks. These come in the form of changing the contents of his apartment. Put together the living space just right and benefit immensely from the next adventure out.

Hell Is Other is set to release on October 20, 2022, to PC via Steam.
