Several new features for Mortal Kombat 1 have been teased in a leak.

By now, everyone knows the very popular game series titled Mortal Kombat, a game that dates back all the way to 1992, which at first started as just a fighting game. Fast forward to today, and many, many other installments to the game series, building worlds, characters, lore, and the series becoming a fighting adventure, beloved by many on a global scale, and we now have the 12th installment, Mortal Kombat 1.

According to a recent data mine, several new online features, many of which were required by fans as soon as players flocked to it. Although Mortal Kombat 1 was definitely well-received with mostly positive reviews, many fans wanted more from the online aspects of the fighting game, requesting more focus on the more modern competitive path to online fighting.

As Mortal Kombat 1 does have online play, it does, however, come within a limited capacity. Sending match invites to random players is less than easy, the same could be said about the non-present online practice options which had fans shocked as to why they were never included, and while there is no news of confirmation yet, the source of Mortal Kombat 1 leaks has shown evidence that points to the new online features that will be introduced in the coming months.

A Twitter user by the name ‘thethiny’, known for correctly leaking Mortal Kombat 1 information, has found evidence that an online practice mode and possibly online lobbies are on the cards. However, it has not been specified if both modes will be released at the same time or as separate additions. This is good news, though, as this means that the developers are considering improvements for online combat.

Overall, while the game has tons of content still in the works to release, including Mortal Kombat 1’s other content, many rumors and speculations still float around. With that and so much more to come, NetherRealm Studios plans to give their fans the much-needed satisfaction and joy with their planned content, letting them reclaim the joy of success as they did with other active titles like Mortal Kombat 11.
