Insomniac Games is soon to tease Marvel’s Spider-Man 3; the long-awaited return of Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Insomniac Games has publicly disclosed the next entry in the critically renowned superhero franchise, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, which is currently being developed. Due to the popularity of Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018), Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020), and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (2023) where they have also added a DLC, fans have been eagerly expecting information regarding the sequel. According to recent reports, the studio is currently working diligently on the next major installment in the series.

Actor Yuri Lowenthal, who provides the voice of Peter Parker, expressed his thoughts on the development of Spider-Man 3 at a recent Q&A session. Upon being questioned about his participation, he responded, “It’s coming,” thereby indicating that the game is now being developed. However, he did make it clear that it is still in its preliminary stages. Lowenthal stated, “It is not going to be anytime soon”, and he was right. “These games take so much time”.

His comments are compatible with the allegations that Insomniac is giving priority to Marvel’s Wolverine, which is scheduled to be released before Spider-Man 3. No official release date has been declared; however, there is conjecture that it will be released in either 2027 or 2028. Moreover, Lowenthal made a reference to Peter Parker’s role in Spider-Man 3. In response to the question of whether he would be taking a backseat to Miles Morales, Peter categorically denied the possibility.

Lowenthal informed the viewers that “He’s not going to be sitting on the couch”, which sent the message that Peter will continue to have an active role in the story. This is in line with previous recommendations made by Bryan Intihar, the senior creative director at Insomniac. Intihar referred to Spider-Man 3 as “pretty epic” and compared it to Captain America: Civil War in terms of the size and narrative stakes involved.

Now the question of whether Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 will be launched on PlayStation 5 or its successor, Sony’s next-generation machine, is one of the most important mysteries surrounding the game. The release platform for the game is unknown, despite the fact that the PlayStation 5 is very close to celebrating its fifth anniversary, and there are rumors that a PlayStation 6 is on the way.

Some industry insiders believe it will be compatible with many generations; however, if the production period extends until 2028, we’re assuming that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 may become a PlayStation 6 launch title and exclusive.

Fans will have to exercise patience for the time being as Insomniac continues to work on Marvel’s Wolverine and Spider-Man 3, respectively. Although the wait may be lengthy, Lowenthal’s assurance guarantees that Peter Parker and Miles Morales will be getting back together for yet another thrilling journey.
