Netflix is going to be working even more closely with Mappa, one of the best anime studios out there.
Netflix has announced a strategic partnership with the Japanese animation studio Mappa. They already had an existing relationship, but now, this time, they will have exclusive rights to a couple of Mappa’s original anime. As part of the deal, they will join forces to create new shows and merchandise.
It also means that the series they work on will debut exclusively on Netflix streaming and worldwide at the same time. Mappa is known for massive anime titles such as Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen. My favorite Mappa production has to be Vinland Saga, though.
The show is already on Netflix, and I hope it means it’ll get more attention with the deal.
Vinland Saga is also one of the most well-received anime as far as ratings go. It appears on plenty of top 10 lists for user ratings. I hope the partnership means something good, as Netflix seems to be buying up IPs left and right.
Pretty soon, it seems like they will own Warner Brothers as well if they win the bidding war. I am sure they will add more to their collection soon, as that is the name of the game now.

I am so frustrated with Netflix for deciding not to let people share their accounts. If you are not on the same Wi-Fi, you cannot sign in to someone’s account. It worked out in their favor, but it’s rough for people on a budget with so many streaming sites already.
For what their prices are, it’s pretty insane what you have to do. I am not surprised that illegal streaming sites have been on the rise as well, seemingly taking over all kinds of studios.
