The new DLC for Resident Evil: Village contains a great deal, from Third-Person mode, a brand new story and more.
Resident Evil Village released in 2021 to a slew of critical acclaim. Fans of the titular series from across the globe praised the title for it’s horror, the complexity of it’s story and characters and how it wasn’t afraid to approach some of the more bizarre elements that are found in the stories of this incredibly popular franchise.
At TGS 2022 Capcom unveiled a lot of new details regarding the future of Resident Evil including details surrounding the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake and how it will be coming to PlayStation 4 as well as current-gen consoles. However, most of the information regarding Resident Evil Village and the new content was revealed in a trailer:
The trailer shows off how the game now looks with it’s brand new third-person mode allowing players to experience the already incredible game in a completely new form. The game looks so different harkening back to the old days of Resident Evil which fans will no doubt enjoy.
Moreover, the video also details the new DLC Shadows of Rose where you play as Ethan Winters’ daughter 16 years after the events of the main game. The new DLC allows players to utilise Roses’ unique powers whilst battling against enemies that can kill you in ‘one hit’ as it were. The new DLC looks fun and challenging and players should be excited for what this new content will bring to this universe.
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition drops on 28th October 2022 with the three new pieces of content mentioned above. Have you already played this title? If so is the game worth picking up again considering the new additions? Comment your thoughts down below.
