The Filipino newcomer kicks off Year 4 with a heartfelt story, lightning-fast combat, and a major update for the entire roster.
Street Fighter 6 is about to get a fresh new face, and she’s already turning heads. Capcom has officially unveiled Yasmine, the first fighter arriving as part of the game's Year 4 content lineup. Set to launch on August 3, the new character brings more than just another set of moves to master. She arrives with a personal story, a distinctive look, and the kind of energy that could make her an instant fan favorite.
Yasmine will be available to players who own the Year 4 Character Pass or the Year 4 Ultimate Pass. Her debut also comes alongside a wave of balance changes for the entire roster, meaning her arrival could reshape the game's competitive landscape from day one.
Yasmine’s story begins in the Philippines, where she learned to fight with her older brother under the watchful eye of their grandfather. But then her brother disappeared and everything changed. She stepped away from the fight, leaving behind the weapon she had learned to use, unsure where life would lead her next.
Then there was an unexpected spark.
Yasmine, after watching some movies online starring a prominent French model, started looking for solutions. That path finally took her back into the ring, but this time with a new purpose. She enters the Street Fighter world with a determination to learn the truth and carve her own path.

Yasmine is created for speed and accuracy in combat.
Her attacks are based on fast mobility and strong pressure, allowing her to stay on top of opponents and keep the fight going. For gamers who like fast-paced characters she might rapidly become a top pick. Capcom has also released two costumes for the new girl.
Her primary costume highlights her combat-ready appearance, while a second outfit shows her in a school uniform. Players can unlock the alternate costume through Avatar Arcade Mode by building their bond with the character or purchase it using Fighter Coins.
While Yasmine is the headline attraction, her release is only the beginning of what promises to be a packed Year 4 for Street Fighter 6. Capcom has also teased a handful of future roster additions including the much talked about appearance of Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series. Even though her debut is still some time away, anticipation is already building among fans.
It's another sign of how strongly Street Fighter 6 continues to perform years after launch. Regular updates, huge tournaments, prize pools and a fanbase that shows little sign of slowing down, has ensured the game remains one of the biggest names in the fighting genre.
Street Fighter 6 is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. The game grows with every new season. And with Yasmine at the helm in Year 4, there’s lots to look forward to. The real issue is: will Yasmine enter into the ring on August 3 and become the next breakthrough star of Street Fighter 6?
