The Last of Us Part 1 is a full scale remake of the original title that released back in 2013.
Ever since the official announcement from Naughty Dog that The Last of Us Part 1, a complete remake of the first Last of Us was being developed at Naughty Dog fans have been clashing over the pricing. Many players have complained that the prices for what is essentially a 10 year old game is ludicrous, most players citing the games Firefly Edition that costs $99.99.
Recently, following the backlash, animator Robert Morrison tweeted this:
Morrison clearly exhibits major passion and also takes offense at the idea that this game does not have the same amount of heart and soul poured into it that many other projects have done. It is clear that the game has had a lot of work done to it. Remaking a game from the ground up isn’t easy as portrayed by titles like Resident Evil 2.
Morrison went on to state further that:
Morrison summarised stating that “A tremendous amount of passion was put into it.” Signing off to his belief that The Last of Us Part 1 is not a cash grab but in fact a meticulously designed game developed by passionate developers (which has just recently gone gold). I for one cannot wait for the arrival of The Last of Us Part 1 and am eager to see all of the changes and improvements that Naughty Dog have made to the already fantastic original title.
