The Last of Us Part 1 is now in the final stages before release on September 2nd 2022.
Naughty Dog has recently announced that The Last of Us Part 1 (The remake of the original Last of Us) has gone gold. Considering the time until it’s release it seems that this would be a near perfect time to hit this goal with a near two month window until the games official release.
Naughty Dog announced this on their official twitter:
Many developers at Naughty Dog poured forth to express their adamant pride at the work they have done on this game. Co-President Neil Druckmann stated this on twitter:
This comes not long after another developer who worked on The Last of Us Part 1 recently struck back against the fans claiming that The Last of Us Part 1 was in fact, not a “cash grab”.
This announcement was accompanied by a ‘new’ announcement trailer that was really just a 30 second version of the trailer released during Summer Games Fest. Furthermore, Naughty Dog expresses that they are not quite done showing off the game, stating that:
So those who are excitedly awaiting to the release of The Last of Us Part 1 can expect some more gameplay to be shown off in what seems to be one of the most anticipated games of the year.
The Last of Us Part 1 releases September 2nd 2022 on PlayStation 5.
