Firaxis Games shares new insights regarding Civilization VI’s August 2020 update, which includes another game mode, in front of its release.

Firaxis Games released a free game update to Civilization VI at the end of June, which made a variety of changes to Religious Beliefs, kicked off Red Death Season 2, and more. The developer is ready to launch yet another free update for Civ VI with August coming to a close, and details on some of what will be included in this patch as well as its release date have recently been revealed.

The Civilization VI August 2020 update is set to go live on Thursday, August 27, and it will add two new features to this mainstream turn-based technique game. The first of these highlights will enable players to choose the Natural Wonders that get an opportunity to show up in their games as they are making them. The second new feature in the August 2020 update is fresh out of the plastic new game mode that will be accessible to all Civ 6 players, even those without the Rise and Fall or Gathering Storm developments, called Tech and Civic Shuffle Mode.

As the name recommends, this game mode will randomize the situation of all Techs and Civics while additionally disguising their characters until a player has taken in the essentials.

To take note, the entirety of the members in a multiplayer match will get the equivalent randomized Tech and Civic trees altogether to keep up some similarity to adjust. This forthcoming patch also contains many balance changes. In part, these tweaks will focus on Civ VI’s Gathering Storm expansion, with forest and jungle fires burning for longer after the update.

It is also said that the update will make some changes to the effects provided by the Government Plaza, a specialty District that was added as part of Civilization VI’s Rise and Fall expansion.

Firaxis has not provided any specific details about what those changes will be at the time of writing, but fans do not have to wait very long before experiencing them, and the other content described above, for themselves. Civilization VI is available for Xbox One, Linux, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
