The upcoming Bat-Family video game Gotham Knights is not set in the Arkham universe, the setting that has defined Batman in gaming for a decade.

DC’s Fandom occasion was proposed as a trade for the organization’s typical huge nearness at the current year’s dropped San Diego Comic-Con, and within minutes the organization emerged ready to take care of business with its first huge declaration: Gotham Knights, an open-world computer game about a city without Batman, where his different proteges need to step up to shield their home.

In the action-adventure title, the player will get the opportunity to play as one of four noticeable individuals from the Bat Family: Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood. Bruce Wayne is dead, and it won’t take long for the antagonists of Gotham City to make sense that Batman is gone as well. Fortunately, he’s abandoned bounty for his partners to work with, including a well-prepared central station and obviously, the ever-reliable Alfred.

The technicians lie in the vein of games like Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4 and Assassin’s Creed arrangement, with a lot of secrecy and fighting, however, we additionally get the chance to see Batgirl drive a truly sweet bicycle through the avenues of Gotham. The one standout is that this game will be a co-op title, with players able to work together to clear areas and defeat villains — in the gameplay footage shown, we got to see Batgirl and Robin make their way through a building taken over by perennial Batman villain Mr. Freeze.

The Bat Family will also face off against newer baddies like the Court of Owls, though the developers hinted this is only the tip of the iceberg and the mystery goes much deeper than that.

Based on the DC Comics franchise, the game is set to be released in 2021 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.[1][2] It was first revealed at DC FanDome in August 2020.
