A long-hidden Mass Effect 3 easter egg has now been solved thanks to its creator lifting the veil on the methods to unlock it.

In a Reddit string (using Kotaku) began by previous BioWare developer Richard Boisvert, he addressed the Mass Results people group to uncover the mystery he’d been perched on since the arrival of Mass Effect 3 in 2012. Boisvert expressed: “10 years ago I put an easter egg in the Mars mission of ME3, and as far as I know, no one ever stumbled upon it.”

He, at that point, told players how they could see this play out. “At the beginning of the Mars mission, feel free to walk through the nearby solar panel array in the following way to see it.”  The roughly drawn guide shows players an exact course they need to follow to see the meanderer. Players hurried to get a brief look to see how this works out.

Client Tuskin38 affirmed that this strategy worked and added a portrayal of what happens when you do follow the way. They clarified: “There’s a little rover over behind some rocks, when you walk that path, it drives over to the edge of the cliff, looks up, and nods at you.”

You can see photographs of the collaboration here.

Players have known about a ‘Mars Rover’ easter egg in Mass Effect 3 for longer than a year; however, it has never been experienced using reasonable methods. The model had recently been uncovered by client Marcus_Khaar, who utilized a free camera abuse that permitted them to get a brief look at the wanderer without walking the way. Nonetheless, it’s extraordinary to see the authority methods for seeing this curious little robot communicate with the player.

Easter Eggs are continually entrancing to discover in games, and that is doubly valid for more seasoned games. Simply this year, a long-lethargic easter egg showing a cordyceps-tainted insect was found in The Last of Us Prologue. Occasions like this address the tempting thought that there are loads of covered-up astonishments to be found in our number one games years, possibly a long time after they were delivered.

Maybe as works of art get more seasoned, we will see more occasions of developers lifting the cover on these pleasant little astonishments.
