Despite previously announcing a delay for all versions of its enhanced first-person shooter, developer Crytek has confirmed that Crysis Remastered will still be heading to Switch on 23rd July.

Crytek recently announced that the remaster of Crysis would be delayed after footage leaked online that brought mixed reactions from fans and players. But now a new update from the studio has revealed that Crysis Remastered will still be released on the original date of July 23 on Nintendo Switch.

The first Crysis game was renowned for its unbelievable graphics. Hence, expectations for the remastered of the game were pretty high. Earlier in July, Crytek had intended to reveal a new gameplay trailer. But after a leak spread the footage online, things got a little out of hand.

Crytek then released a statement saying the studio would pay heed to fan reactions and would delay the release of Crysis Remastered to allow more time to polish the game. Crytek also said that the release would be delayed on all platforms but now the release of Crysis Remastered for Switch has an official release date of July 23.

It seems that the studio would be focusing more on the console and PC renditions. The official Crysis website has debuted some gameplay footage showing how well the game has transitioned to the Nintendo console. Crytek did say it would need a few more weeks to enhance the game so it can live up to its infamous console and PC-breaking standards.  The original Crysis trilogy has also recently become available on EA Access for players who wish to relive the series on Xbox before the remastered release.

Crytek has announced the Switch version of Crysis Remastered will feature gyro aiming, vegetation blending, dynamic lighting, and destructible environments that will still arrive on 23rd July. Crysis Remastered will be released on July 23 for Nintendo Switch with PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions coming soon.
