And a new gameplay trailer.

Developer Housemarque is having a go at something a bit unique with its new PS5-restrictive science fiction shooter Returnal; while it’s the previous yield supported little yet immaculately framed arcade encounters – think Resogun and Nex Machina – this time, the designer is going in a positively more blockbuster course, and the aftereffect of its works, we currently know, shows up on nineteenth March.

Returnal, which was first revealed back in June, mixes third-individual activity and stage components with an incredibly enormous bit of touchy story to make a game Housemarque calls its “most aggressive task to date.” The subsequent experience unfurls on the very edge of the universe, with players assuming the function of Selene, an Astra space scout who winds up caught in an unpleasant circle of interminable restoration while abandoned on a destructive planet.

It’s something of a rebel-like at that point, and the resulting activity guarantees “volleys of slug hellfire shots en route” (plainly, Housemarque isn’t altogether prepared to wave farewell to its arcade roots right now), with players ready to react utilizing an arms stockpile of weapons outfitted with battery-powered alt-shoot modes enacted considerably squeezing the PS5 regulator’s versatile triggers.

That, tragically, is pretty much all we need to go on as of now; the rest of Housemarque’s PlayStation Blog post peruses more like a promotion for PS5’s new highlights – the reassure’s 3D sound abilities additionally get a gesture – as opposed to a legitimate dig into Returnal itself. In that capacity, we’ll need to stand by calmly for the designer to share more about the method of interactivity particulars.

Thankfully, there’s a gorgeously moody new trailer to accompany Returnal’s release date announcement, and it certainly paints an intriguing picture. Hopes are high for Housemarque’s latest then, as its 19th March launch approaches.
