Palworld: How to Farm Ore Efficiently Guide

Here's a quick guide on how you can efficiently farm Ores in Palworld.

Ore is one of the most valuable resources in Palworld as it is used to create Ingots which are required for weapons, armor, production structures, and many mid-to-late game upgrades. An efficient Ore farming system should be a priority because you will constantly need Ingots. 

Finding a Good Ore Spot

The fastest way to collect Ore is by finding groups of Ore nodes, rather than mining single deposits. Areas with six or more Ore veins close together let you collect large amounts before they respawn. If possible, create a secondary base near these clusters, so your Pals can work automatically while you explore elsewhere. 

Get the Right Mining Pals

Assign Ore base to Pals with high Mining Work Suitability. Ore deposits will be mined efficiently by Pals of level 2 or higher and Transporting Pals will carry the Ore to storage. There are dedicated miners and dedicated transport workers, and production doesn’t stop. Give your workers beds and food and a hot spring to keep them productive.

Upgrade Your Mine 

When mining by hand, always carry the best pickaxe you can make. Better tools will mine Ore faster. As you advance, unlock better furnaces to smelt Ore into Ingots more efficiently. As you progress in the game, you can construct specialized Ore Mining Sites to generate a constant stream of Ore in addition to natural deposits, decreasing the frequency with which you need to manually gather Ore. 

Keep Ore Farming 

Forget about the occasional mining trip, let your dedicated Ore base do its thing while you go out and complete quests, capture Pals or explore new regions. Coming back and collecting hundreds of Ore at a time is much more efficient than picking it up by hand in small quantities. You'll rarely be short of Ingots for crafting and progression with a well-maintained mining base.

Maintain Your Mining Base 

Your Pals can work without interruption in a well-organized mining base. Place the storage chests close to the Ore nodes and the furnaces, so the Transporting Pals don't have to go far. Have repair materials available so damaged structures can be repaired quickly.

Make sure your Pals have enough food at all times and nobody is stuck or unable to get to the mining area. Small base layout improvements can significantly increase Ore production over time.

Mine While You Explore 

Even with an automated mining base, it is worth it to collect Ore whenever you come across deposits while traveling. A good pickaxe allows you to farm more resources while you search for new Pals, dungeons or fast travel points. This passive collection quickly adds up and provides a useful stockpile for future crafting projects, and doesn’t require dedicated mining trips. 

Convert Ore to Ingots Quickly

Raw Ore is just the first step of the crafting process. Try to keep your furnaces running as much as possible, so that Ore is turned into Ingots as soon as it comes into storage.

With a healthy stockpile of Ingots, you can instantly craft better weapons, better armor and advanced production buildings as soon as you unlock new technologies. You can always mine and smelt automatically to get the materials you need to keep progressing through the game without a hitch.
