There's a few ways to track down Chanterelle Mushrooms, whether you'd rather forage for them yourself or set something up to grow them passively. One option ties to your farm cave, another needs a specific location and season, and the third lets you skip the guesswork entirely once it's set up.

The Mushroom Cave

If you've chosen the Mushroom Cave option for your farm cave, there's a chance a Chanterelle Mushroom will appear in one of the boxes inside over time. It won't be there every single day, so checking back regularly and collecting whatever's spawned is the way to go with this method in Stardew Valley.

Foraging in the Secret Woods

Chanterelle Mushrooms can also be foraged directly in the Secret Woods, but only during Fall. The Secret Woods is located past Marnie's Ranch, off to the left. During Fall, you can often find a few of them scattered around as forageable items right when you walk in.

Since they respawn, collecting everything you find in one visit clears space for more to grow back, so returning every few days tends to keep a steady supply coming in Stardew Valley.

Crafting a Mushroom Log

The Mushroom Log works a bit differently, since it actively generates mushrooms over time instead of relying on chance spawns. You'll need Foraging level 4 to unlock the recipe, and each one costs 10 Hardwood and 10 Moss to craft.

Once it's down, it'll produce mushrooms on its own that you can just right-click to collect. Set up a few of these near some trees and you've got mushrooms coming in steadily without needing to go out and forage for them yourself.
