Trial Rank is one of the most important progression systems in Duet Night Abyss. Increasing it unlocks higher character and weapon level caps, new content and other progression features. To boost your Trial EXP as fast as possible you should always be earning it from quests, daily activities, exploration and upgrades.

Finish Main Story Quests

Main Story quests are one of the best sources of Trial EXP, especially during early game. Play through the main storyline as much as possible to earn large amounts of EXP as well as unlock new gameplay features. Don’t spend too much time on minor activities when you still have several main quests to do.

Complete Side Quests

Side Quests are also a great source of Trial EXP. Check your quest menu regularly and complete any available Side Quests in addition to the main story. As you explore, you can also earn useful EXP through dynamic quests and other short activities.

Fill Out Daily Memos

Daily Memos should be a part of your daily routine. Sufficient Memo tasks to reach the 200 Progress cap give out 500 Trial EXP and are thus one of the most consistent daily sources. Try to finish your daily tasks before you start longer farming sessions.

Upgrade Your Characters

Leveling up your characters directly contributes to your Trial Rank. Ascending characters grant Trial EXP, with later Ascension Phases granting larger amounts. Unlocking an Intron Level also gives 250 Trial EXP, and with all six Introns, a character can get up to 1,500 EXP.

Demon Wedges

Demon Wedges are another useful source for Trial EXP. You can get new Demon Wedges by finishing Noctoyager Manual stages. Each new Wedge you find gives you more EXP. This makes Wedge farming useful both for boosting your characters and for raising your Trial Rank.

Discover the Overworld

Remember to explore between objectives while traveling. Trial EXP is available from chests found all over the overworld, so you can make slow progress while you collect other resources. Instead of sprinting directly between quest markers, look around areas you pass through.

Unlock More Characters

Trial EXP can be earned by collecting and leveling up different characters. Check if unlocking or developing another character with the resources you have available can improve your progress in Trial Rank.
